Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth of July everyone! The girls served at mass this morning. We came home and the kids threw their *poppers* on the sidewalk. They had lots of fun.

Wayne started grilling the peppers, hotdogs and hamburgers. These are the grilled Anaheim peppers filled with Monterey Jack cheese. Yummy!
This is the low carb Greek pasta salad.
This is the fruit salad.

After dinner Wayne and I went to see Live Free or Die Hard. As we exited the theatre we could see the big fireworks display going off.

I love your greek salad! Everything else looks wonderful. I have not tried the peppers yet but saw the recipe in my Martha Stewart magazine and want to give them a try. Alas I have no peppers yet.

Jen, I'm glad you like the Greek salad. It's one of my favorites for cooking/eating during summer days.

I don't have any peppers yet either. The rabbits have been nibbling on mine.

I want to try and make the peppers, too. They look like they would not be hard.

Rachel, the peppers are super easy to make. Just wash the peppers, deseed them and slice open. Cut the Monterey Jack or Pepper Jack cheese to fill the peppers and grill till melted.
